Washington D.C.

I'm too tired to do a detailed post, but I wanted to share some pictures from our day. The weather was gorgeous and things were just starting to bloom.

This is the room in the National Archives Building where the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution are. This could have been a very moving exhibit...but I have to say that we are all struggling with the fact the God has been removed from Washington D.C. and all it's building and all it's foundations.

I took a moment to really think about how this country got started and why, and it really is a moving thing. Still, if I was here from a foreign country or even just someone who had been in public school my whole life, with no knowledge of truth, I would not know that this country was founded on Christian Principles with a strong fear of the Lord. The statues were all confusing...many naked bodies and Greek gods.

Tomorrow we are going to Arlington National Cemetery. That should put us all in a thankful mood!

We are all pretty tired tonight, in fact all the children fell asleep within 5 minutes of me putting them to bed. We had Chinese Food delivered to the room for dinner.

I'm going to bed now! Hugs to you all!

Until Next Post,

That is just what it was like when we were there in March! I didn't want to go to Arlington, but I did and was so glad. It is a beautiful and moving site. When we were there there was a choir singing the national anthem, I don't know what the occassion was, but it seemed so appropriate. We enjoyed the changing of the guards - your family will love it.

All I can say is hmmmm...yes very sad that the places that hold the history of our country are very against God...they hate everything to do with him with such passion...amazing isn't it!

You ladies look like a postcard...beautiful just beautiful!

I think you look fabulous in white dear...

Hugs to you all,
me

Fantastic photos! We are busy working our way through the excellent series on John Adams. Growing up in a different country and not being very exposed to American history, I am learning so much about it through that series. Hugs to you!
